Louis Le Vau (1612–11 Ekim 1670), özellikle Fransa'ya İtalyan Barok mimarisinin duyarlığını getirdiği Vaux-le-Vicomte, Versailles, Vincennes ve Louvre Sarayı saraylarını tasarlamasyla tanınan Fransız Barok mimarı.1

Le Vau, yaşadığı dönemde Fransa'daki en iyi mimar olarak görülen Mansart'ın tek ciddi rakibiydi ve 1657'de Paris yakınlarındaki Vaux-le-Vicomte Sarayı ile, XIV. Louis'in ve maliye bakanı Jean-Baptiste Colbert'in hayal gücünü gerçekleştirmesine yardımcı oldu.2 XIV. Louis'nin Versay Sarayı için bir model olarak hizmet eden Vaux-le-Vicomte Sarayı, Encyclopædia Britannica tarafından "en önemli Orta Çağ Avrupa sarayı" olarak görülür.3
