Yaşamı

Leachman 30 Nisan 1926'da Des Moines, Iowa'da doğdu.³⁴ 1942'de başladığı oyunculuk kariyerini 2021'deki ölümüne kadar sürdürdü. Her türden tiyatro, sinema ve televizyon dizilerinde yardımcı rollerin hakkından gelen Leachman "Gündüz Kuşağı" Emmy Ödülü, The Last Picture Show adlı TV prodüksiyonundaki Ruth Popper performansı ile Akademi Ödülü sahibiydi. Aynı zamanda vejeteryandı.⁵⁶⁷

Ölümü

Leachman 26 Ocak 2021'de Encinitas, Kaliforniya'daki aile evinde yaşlılığa bağlı nedenler ve COVID-19 ile enfekte olması nedeniyle 94 yaşında öldü.⁸
